Boston Seaport Proposal - Joseph & Laura Belle
Joseph proposed to Laura Belle at the end of Long Wharf in the Boston Seaport on a cloudy summer evening, and needless to say, she said yes! I'm so happy for them, and honored to be present for this special moment in their lives!
Joseph's sister, Anna, was actually the one who reached out to me about shooting his proposal to his girlfriend, Laura Belle! They both love traveling, and were planning a trip up to Boston from Texas, and he figured he'd take the opportunity to propose while they were away! Anna quickly did some searching on Instagram for Boston wedding photographers, and I couldn't be happier that she chose me to capture such an intimate moment for them!
Having only been to Boston a couple times, Joseph wasn't exactly familiar with the area, so when he asked for advice about where to pop the question I knew JUST where to take them. BOSTON'S LONG WHARF is one of my favorite places in the city. When I first moved here, it was always where I brought my friends who were visiting for the first time. It's right on the water, with a gorgeous view of the Boston skyline. Not to mention FRIENDS OF CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS PARK is only a short walk away, and they trellises are lush with green vines at this time of year.
Being that it was a random Wednesday evening, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. I got there a little early to scope out the scene and station myself inconspicuously. I had to politely warn a couple families who were in the area not to go into the little corner I had blocked off for them. They were all really stoked to be a part of the excitement, and when he pulled out the ring, everyone cheered- even the passengers on the ferry behind them figured out what was going on!
I'm so excited for the future these two will share together! I know it will be filled with adventures, laughter, and love!
