Madison Beach Hotel Wedding - Molly & Neil

Molly & Neil got married right on the beach at the MADISON BEACH HOTEL where Molly’s parents got married 30 years ago almost to the day! Molly is from the area, and she grew up visiting the hotel on trips to the coast and has many fond memories there. They both live down in DC now, though so the most challenging part was planning logistics from so far away! They also had guests coming in from about 20 states (they counted), but everything came together beautifully.

If you had told me in 7th grade that I’d end up photographing Molly’s wedding, I would have just stared at you in disbelief. We became friends when we were about 12, attending birthday parties and movie nights together, and causing quite a ruckus as 12-year-old girls do. For whatever reason, we lost touch after middle school, but she ended up finding me on instagram over a decade later! I couldn’t be happier to have reconnected and get the chance to hang out with her family again and meet her amazing husband Neil!

We walked out to the flat rocks by the water to do their first look. Molly wore a simple fitted gown with a delicate beaded overlay (which I was totally OBSESSED with), so she basically ended up having two looks for portraits throughout the day that she could switch back and forth between. Bride goals. Also WAY cooler and more manageable than a veil.

You may recognize these two hotties from their ENGAGEMENT SESSION I shot with them this past spring in DC. Since they had practice in the front of the camera, they really didn’t need any guidance at all, and I just let them run the show. Apart from being extremely photogenic, they are just plain sexy together! They couldn’t get their hands off each other, and their love was the sweetest thing to witness.

The sky was a bit cloudy that morning, but the sun came out for their ceremony and it ended up reaching into the 80s! They totally lucked out for their October wedding- not to mention their guests were able to enjoy the EPIC sunset during cocktail hour from the iconic wrap-around porch at the hotel! So excited for what the future has in store for these two!
